GOS Matters

PCSE & NHSE

General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) payments are handled by Primary Care Support England (PCSE). They also hold stocks of NHS supplies, administer Performer Lists and process CPD claims. Locally our NHSE Contracts Management Team are NHS England South West.

From 1st April 2023, the commissioning of Pharmacy, Optometry and Dental Services (POD) has passed to Integrated Care Boards (ICBs). As from 1st July 2023 the South West POD Teams for NHS England were transferred to the ICBs and are now called the NHS South West Collaborative Commissioning Hub.  The team undertakes all the functions that were completed under NHS England but now on behalf of each of the seven ICBs.  The email address remains as england.optometrysouthwest@nhs.net

The NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) provide GOS contract administrative support on behalf of the South West Regional Team. If you wish to apply for a new GOS contract; vary your existing contract; or terminate your existing contract; then please contact NHSBSA directly on pao-cm@nhsbsa.nhs.uk
