Primary Eyecare Services

Primary Eyecare Gloucestershire (PEG) was established in 2012 by Gloucestershire Local Optical Committee to allow optometry practices in the county to provide extended eye care services for the community. In 2019 PEG merged with the Primary Eyecare Services group and deliver Extended Community Optometry Services in Gloucestershire as follows:

 

• Glaucoma

• • Repeat Readings

• • Enhanced Case Finding

 

• Children’s Vision

 

• CUES

 

• Cataract

• • Cataract Direct Referral

• • Cataract Post-Operative 

 

• Adult Low Vision (Pilot)

• • 2023 Pilot Scheme to provide adults with sight loss with a high-quality low vision assessment, information and clinical support and, where appropriate, low vision aids (LVAs) and daily living aids in a community and domiciliary setting.

 

In 2019 the company joined with other Primary Eyecare Companies operating in England to become Primary Eyecare Services.
