If you are new to Gloucestershire may we first of all extend our best wishes and welcome you to the county - we hope you will find working in optometric practice in Gloucestershire rewarding and that you you will chose to stay for many years to come.
If you are not already listed you may need to apply to join the local ophthalmic list in order to provide GOS services - please see our GOS matters page for contact details.
You may also find that there are a number of things that we do a little differently in Gloucestershire and it may take a little while to familiarise yourself with the local systems. We have locally negotiated pathways for direct cataract referral, post-operative follow up of second eye cataract, management of flashes and floaters, glaucoma referral refinement and a fast track referral system for patients with suspected wet AMD. Details of all of these can be found by browsing the pages of our web site - we hope you find this useful.
If you require any further information and your own practice colleagues are unable to advise you please feel free to contact any one of the committee members - we would be very happy to help.
